Edmonton Impact win Alberta Elite Provincial Championship

When the Edmonton Elite took the journey south to Sylvan Lake for the Alberta Provincial Championships, the team was focused on one thing: reclaiming past glory from 2010.

Despite winning their way to the Finals in 2011, they came one goal short. The loss fueled their fire this year as they ran over the competition en route to the gold medal.

Posting an impressive 4-0 round robin record, plus a 5-1 win over rival Calgary Blazers in the semi-finals gave Edmonton their chance for redemption in the Finals.

Rick Kelly was the hero for the Impact, when he scored the game winning goal with about six minutes left to play. Edmonton defeated the Calgary Deez-Nuts 3-2 for their second championship in three years.

Payments of $1975 due November 17th, 2011 and $1975 due January 12th, 2012.

Most teams participated in fundraising with the Edmonton Capitals this summer, so money earned there can be applied towards league fees.

$3950 divided by 12 players = $329/player
#3950 divided by 15 players = $263/player.
